Title of the Talk :
Applying Machine Learning for Risk Forecasting in Fintech

Abstract of Talk:
Banks and financial institutions now face climate change as a major risk consideration. As someone who builds data systems for climate risk analysis, I’ve watched machine learning transform how we predict and handle these emerging challenges. In this presentation, I’ll explain what these climate risks actually are and show you practical ways machine learning helps us detect risks early, calculate their financial impact, and make better decisions. I’ll share real projects where we created data pipelines and models that pull together corporate finances, emissions data, and climate scenarios into one cohesive picture. You’ll see how these tools help organizations stress-test their portfolios, meet regulatory requirements, and prepare for climate-driven market changes. Whether you work in data science or finance, or you’re simply curious about where risk management is headed, you’ll walk away understanding how machine learning can help build a more resilient financial system as we face climate change.
