Securing 5G Through Data Integration – An AI-Driven Approach Using SDN, NFV, and Google Cloud
Abstract of Talk:
In today’s hyper-connected 5G era, the real challenge isn’t just bandwidth or latency, it’s how data flows securely and intelligently across a virtualized, cloud-native network. As a Senior Data Architect specializing in Data Integration and AI-driven cloud frameworks, I will share how next-generation 5G security can be achieved by uniting Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and AI-based analytics using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Building on insights from the European “SHIELD h2020” project which was originally based on Apache Spot and Apache Spark I have reimagined that framework through a modern data integration lens. Using Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery, combined with machine learning algorithms, we can build an adaptive, self-healing 5G defense layer capable of detecting anomalies, correlating data in real time, and automating responses across distributed network functions.
This talk will demonstrate how data integration is the backbone of 5G cybersecurity, connecting telemetry, orchestration, and AI intelligence into one continuous feedback loop. Attendees will learn how to move from static monitoring to real-time, data-driven decision systems that protect both the network and the data it carries.
